Soprano 1
We were weary of holy sorrow.
Full of the desire to see the faces of heaven,
the Glory of the Creator and a radiant paradise.
Here repentance must be washed away
by the tears of my sin,
that opened up to us a bright Eden, a bright paradise!
We have been weary of holy sorrow.
Only in an infinite spirit does our endeavor to make
the world of desire, the passions of the earth, alien to us.
Is the record for the sinner of the
day of enlightenment coming soon?
We have been weary of holy sorrow.
I am the spirit of forgiveness, now listen to us!
Bitter prayers of the suffering of our souls!
We have been weary of holy sorrow.

Soprano 2
We are weary of grief,
Full of the desire to see radiant faces,
the Glory of the Creator and radiant Eden.
Here we must repent with a clean tear, all sins,
so that the Eden will be dear to us!
We have been weary of holy sorrow.
We aspire to infinity,
the world of desire,
the passions of the earth are alien to us.
Is the day of enlightenment for the sinners coming soon?
We have been weary of the sorrow here.
Spirit of the good, hear us!
Bitter prayers and tears of suffering
for our souls!
… we have been weary.
