Joseph Seymour was born in Cork, Ireland, son of the organist at St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church, Cork. He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin, and studied at Malines, Belgium, under [[Jacques-Nicolas Lemmens]], and at Ratisnon, Germany, under Franz Haberl. He succeeded his father as organist at St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church, Cork; he then became organist at St. Andrew’s, Westland Row, Dublin. He was Professor of Music in the Board of Education Training College, Drumcondra, an examiner for the Royal Irish Academy of Music, editor of the Lyra Ecclesiastica, and conductor of the Dublin Glee Singers. His compositions include a four masses, a Te Deum, motets, other church compositions, a children’s operetta, and part-songs. | |||

Biography
Joseph Seymour was born in Cork, Ireland, son of the organist at St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church, Cork.
