Description: Published in Ingalls' Christian Harmony, 1805, pp. 154-155, for three voices: Treble-Tenor-Bass. Words by an anonymous author, before 1794, often with six stanzas. Most sources show the hymn having meter 11 11. 12 12., but Ingalls has reduced it to 11 11. 11 11.
