Diffusa est gratia

The offertory Diffusa est gratia, from Psalm 44:3 (Vulgate), has been used for the Common of Virgin Martyrs, as well as the Marian feasts Purification of the BVM and the post Vatican II Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God.

Latin text 44:3  Diffusa est gratia in labiis tuis: propterea benedixit te Deus in aeternum.

German translation Ausgegossen ist Gnade auf deinen Lippen: deswegen hat dich Gott auf ewig gesegnet.

English translation 45:2  Grace flows from your lips, because God has blessed you for ever.

Dutch translation Verward is de dank op uw lippen, zo heeft God u voor eeuwig gezegend.
