The feast in Dedicatione Archibasilicae SS Salvatoris was instituted by Benedict XIII after restoration work on Rome's cathedral in 1726. Since renamed the Dedication of the Lateran Basilica, it is still observed on November 9. The propers were formerly identical to those for the Dedication of a Church.
