Æterne Rex altissime,
Redemptor et fidelium,
Cui mors perempta detulit
Summæ triumphum gloriæ.

Ascendis orbes siderum,
Quo te vocabat cœlitus
Collata, non humantius,
Rerum potestas omnium.

Jesu, tibi sit gloria,
Qui victor in cœlum redis,
Cum Patre, et almo Spiritu,
In sempiterna sæcula.

Italian translation

Eterno ed Altissimo Re,
Redentore e somma gloria
nel trionfo dei fedeli,
che hai rubato alla morte.

Scali i mondi delle stelle,
che Ti chiamavano nel cielo,
porti con Te la divina
potesta su tutte le cose.

Gesù, sia gloria a Te,
che ritorni in cielo vincitore,
con il Padre l'alto Spirito,
