Russian text 1. В молитвах неусыпающую Богородицу и в предстательствах мира непреложное упование. Гроб и умерщвление не удержаста. 2. Якоже бо Живота Матерь, к животу престави. 3. Во утробу Вселивыйся приснодевственную.

English translation 1. The mother of God incessantly in prayer interceding for the world, a certain hope; doing away with the grave and killing. 2. You are surely the mother of the living One, until life passes away. 3. Inspired in your womb, ever virgin. Translation by Barry Johnston

English text Textual adaptation: (by Paul Stetsenko) Remember, O Lord, remember what has befallen us. Look and see our disgrace, Lord. Look, O Lord, and see what has come to pass. Let tears stream down, day and night. O hear our cry, O Lord. Our eyes are spent with weeping. Cry aloud to the Lord God, "O hear my cry, Lord God! O Lord have mercy on me!"
