Biography
Knyght was a lay vicar of Salisbury Cathedral, becoming the instructor of the choristers there at some point between 1526 and 1529. Because of gaps in the cathedral archives he cannot be traced there after 1543, but no successor is known until October 1550. Knyght was still alive in 1545 when he supplied compositions to Winchester College. [From 'Grove']
