English text
The mill goes rumbling on with busy stir,
Of peace and plenty ever telling;
Its joyful sound we hear!
And ever day and night,
The wheel goes round with steady whir,
The wheel goes round with cheerful sound,
And merrily sings the miller's boy.
O'er vale and meadow the twilight shadows,
And dews of eve with lustre shine,
While stars beam forth on hrvest richly lessed.
The gift of wondrous Pow'r divine.
Hark 'tis the mill!
