Like angels that softly,
so gently and softly,
With foot prints all rosy,
to earth have come down,
So enters a New Year;
God give us good cheer!
His presence be with us,
His blessing rest on us,
Hod give us good cheer!

In Him we begin, it
who all the world holdeth,
The sun, moon and stars in
the clasp of His hand.
Dear Father in heaven,
Thy care that enfoldeth
Shall guide us and keep us
forever and aye,
We all, Lord, are Thine.
