Template talk:A cappella

Period at end of line
Hi, I was wondering if this dot after "a cappella" is really necessary. Would someone mind if I removed it? I've been using this template with a pipe ( {{a cappella|}} ) to avoid it. -- CarlosTalk 03:17, 1 June 2008 (PDT)
- I don't think it should be there since "a cappella" isn't a sentance. It would be good to hear Chuck's reasoning though. --Bobnotts talk 03:44, 1 June 2008 (PDT)
- No problem, Rob. Previously (as Carlos had done with an empty pipe) one could "uninclude" the period (or substitute other punctuation and additions through the optional parameter). And, as I've been discovering through my helping to migrate template:acap to template:a cappella, there were early instances where I had typed {{acap|.}} so as specifically to include the period before the inclusion of the period had been made the default. My current feeling is that the final period should not have been included in the first place. -- Chucktalk Giffen♫ 00:55, 4 June 2008 (PDT)
