Composer page organization
Hi William, and welcome to CPDL!
Claude forwarded me you email query (if you look at his discussion page User:Claude T you'll notice there are some kibutzers there as well, so that's another way to get answers). There are several way you could go about organizing your work lists, and #SortWorks is only one tool. For a clickable link just use double brackets [[Answer me when I call (William Ellison)|Psalm 4: Answer me when I call]] produces Psalm 4: Answer me when I call. {{NoCo|Answer me when I call}} will also work, and that template is described at Template:NoCo. You could also make a sortable list: see how Johannes Ockeghem is coded, and then compare Tomás Luis de Victoria, where each work is labeled with a subgenre so it fits a specific slot on the composer page. A disadvantage of the second is that changes or tweeks to the workpage can have unforeseen effects on other pages that rely on Template:Genre! Richard Mix (talk) 07:35, 23 December 2022 (UTC)
- Richard, I hope I'm in the correct area and reading the correct information. I'm a noob on this site and I'm not sure what to do or what I can do.
- I would like to organize my existing compositions into two sections, Psalms in three columns (as is) and a section for Additional Compositions under the columns. If possible, I would also like to re-setup my existing compositions into clickable linked entries (as in your example). I'm not sure where I start. I feel confident that if you can get me started, I will be able to do the project on my own (with questions asked as needed). I note you have given me the answer "[[Answer me when I call (William Ellison)|Psalm 4: Answer me when I call]] " but I don't know where I place that coding. I'm also assuming that I don't need the <nowiki> on the pages, correct?
- Thank you Claude and Richard. That was an easy fix to my issue, now could someone re-set the few existing in my "Choral works at CPDL" area to "Anthems"? Those are really Anthems which I didn't really figure out until after I had done a few. If there is some way that I can reset them, I will be most happy to do that.

- For each of the remaining exceptions, go to the corresponding work page, on the right of "General Information", click on "Modify". Change the subgenre according to YOUR choice. Claude T (talk) 07:30, 25 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you Claude. I have made those changes and it looks like they are correct. I appreciate your time -- "Thank you!" Have a Happy Holiday season and I will be working on the next compositions next year!! Bill-- Bill (talk) 19:31, 25 December 2022 (UTC)
