Anotated worklist

It might be time to sort out the latest (re-)attributions: I've started a sortable table of the two complete editions at User:Richard Mix/Josquin (now moved to Sortable list of Josquin des Prez compositions). Feel free to tinker and/or pitch in! Richard Mix (talk) 21:04, 30 April 2013 (UTC)

Richard, the table was a great idea (although I don't feel knowledgeable enough at this point to help you with this subject).
Regarding a much simpler subject, I think it was a good idea to disambiguate the Ave Maria...virgo serena, but I don't see the need to also disambiguate the Ave Maria...benedicta a 4; just naming it as Ave Maria a 4 would make it clear for everyone that it's the standard text (as is the case with the Ave Maria a 4 plus 2 and Ave Maria a 6). What do you think? —Carlos (talk) 23:46, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
I've started with motets, and am trying to format the Smijers contents as given on IMSLP, adding NJE data from Grove's. It's a lot of work to put every thing into columns though.
AMa4 is thriftier, and maybe you're right, though I suspect that it once wouldn't have been that clear to myself! Wouldn't some users trying to navigate to ...virgo serena be unaware of the 'standard' setting, which is far less known? Editions in progress

In preparation for the big 500th commemoration I'm working on Missa L'homme armé sexti toni (Josquin des Prez). Underlaid Kyrie & Gloria should be ready soon and I have code for other movements, though there are plenty of other redlinks to go around: Missarum Josquin liber primus (Josquin des Prez), Missarum Josquin liber secundus (Josquin des Prez), Missarum Josquin liber tertius (Josquin des Prez) (and note that some bluelinks have big gaps).
