Correct name

In the "big crash" of CPDL a discussion was lost. It was about renaming this composer page for being more correct. As far as I remember, the discussion brought to the following conclusions:

  • remove "San", that is a title and titles are not used within CPDL for composer names (BTW, Sant'Alfonso would be more correct than San Alfonso in Italian language);
  • spell the name as it is in the corresponding Wikipedia article, that is Alphonsus Liguori (English language) or Alfonso Maria de' Liguori (Italian language)

Ligurio is definitely wrong, and it also sounds a bit funny in Italian.

I guess that renaming the composer pages requires special access privileges. --Choralia 14:47, 25 October 2007 (PDT)

Thanks for that, Max. Renaming composer pages doesn't require special privilages - you just use the "move" command, but you were right to raise the issue before jumping in. I've sorted the pages. Regards --Bobnotts talk 15:41, 25 October 2007 (PDT)
