Although this work was for a time attributed to Heinrich Bach, this 'cantata' (a sacred German concerto-aria in form) is now unanimously attributed to Johann Christoph Bach (1642-1703), J. S. Bach's cousin from Eisenach. Style and dating seem to support it.
