Additional notes: Please create a new category\Negro Spirituals\ This music is rich with heritage and simple musical lyrics and robust melodic overtones. It is interesting that in my search I only can find the lyrics not the composers. Possibly these Spirituals were sung and not written by enslaved Negros. I am so happy to have found this site. What a wonderful place to be. God Bless you for sharing.
