Vulgate (Psalm 66)
- In finem, in hymnis. Psalmus cantici David.
1 Deus misereatur nostri, et benedicat nobis ; illuminet vultum suum super nos, et misereatur nostri :
2 ut cognascamus in terra viam tuam, in omnibus gentibus salutare tuum.
3 Confiteantur tibi populi, Deus : confiteantur tibi populi omnes.
4 Lætentur et exsultent gentes, quoniam judicas populos in æquitate, et gentes in terra dirigis.
5 Confiteantur tibi populi, Deus : confiteantur tibi populi omnes.
6 Terra dedit fructum suum : benedicat nos Deus, Deus noster !
7 Benedicat nos Deus, et metuant eum omnes fines terræ.
Church of England 1662 Book of Common Prayer
1 God be merciful unto us, and bless us : and shew us the light of his countenance, and be merciful unto us:
2 That thy way may be known upon earth : thy saving health among all nations.
3 Let the people praise thee, O God : yea, let all the people praise thee.
4 O let the nations rejoice and be glad : for thou shalt judge the folk righteously, and govern the nations upon earth.
5 Let the people praise thee, O God : let all the people praise thee.
6 Then shall the earth bring forth her increase : and God, even our own God, shall give us his blessing.
7 God shall bless us : and all the ends of the world shall fear him.
King James Version
- To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm or Song.
1 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.
2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.
3 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.
7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
Luther's translation
