Italian text Neve non tocca la tua veste appare Cingi una zona del color del mare. E a quei che a tanta altezza t’han levata Volgi gli occhi soavi, o immacolata. Più ti contemplo e dal caduco limo Più libero mi sento e mi sublimo.

English translation Like intact snow your clothes look, you wear a belt coloured like the sea. And to those who extolled you to such a height turn your sweet eyes, o immaculate. The more I admire you, the more from this earthly mud I feel free and I feel sublimed.
