Lacrime meste e voi sospir dolenti,
non vi posate mai
in sin che quel martel che mi disface
non cess' in me gli amorosi tormenti
e gli aspri e grevi guai.

E s'al mio chiaro sol dilett' e piace
chi non abbi mai pace
piangendo solo il mio infelice stato
n'andro tanto che grato saro alla morte
e cosi fie contento
quel martel ch'è cagion del mio tormento.
