Elle est mignonne et gorrière,

De bien aimer coutumière.
Un jour tout à l'environ
d'une saussaie et rivière,
Un beau jeune compagnon
D'amour lui fit la prière.
Lors la baisant le mignon
Se prit à lui faire chère
Puis s'assit en son giron
De bonne grâce et manière.

Młynareczka z Vernon
jest czarująca i miła
a w miłości, jak mówią,
niejednego doświadczyła.
Dnia pewnego w okolicy
gdzieś nad rzeczką, pośród wierzb,
tam młodzieniec pięknolicy
swe uczucie wyznał jej.
I całując miłe dziewczę
jął ją tulić, pieścić czule,
na jej łono wspiął się wreszcie…
z wielką gracją i w ogóle.

In Vernon the miller’s bride
Is pretty and a little vain
And what’s more, I can confide,
She thinks that fashion's her domain.
One day she was alongside
A river in a stand of cane,
When a handsome young man tried
Her loving favors to obtain.
Kissing her the youth applied
His skills both sacred and profane
So his lap she sat astride
To seem both gracious and urbane.
