Edition notes: This carol is given in short score in R. H. Heath's Cornish Carols, Part II. In that source, the first verse of text is underlaid between the staves, with additional fragments of this verse above and below the staves to indicate the word fit for the different parts. A further two verses of text are printed after the music, and dynamics are given above or between the staves, apparently applying to all voice parts. In this edition, the voice parts have been split out to open score, all three verses of text have been underlaid in full, and dynamic markings have been copied across to all parts to which they apply.
