Description: Attributed to St. Bernard of Clairvaux (1090-1153), the hymn “Jesu, Dulcis Memoria” is traditionally sung at Vespers for the Feast of the Holy Name of Jesus.
This composition for SATB is based on the Gregorian chant “Jesu Dulcis Memoria”. It was premiered on November 9, 2018, by the vocal group Madrigal Contemporâneo, conducted by Danielly Souza, at Salão Leopoldo Miguez at the Escola de Música da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, on the occasion of the XXIX Panorama da Música Brasileira Atual.
