French text (modernised) Je n'en puis plus durer Marquet, allons y donc. Marquet aussi Marquette, en gardant leurs moutons, S'assirent sur l'herbette auprès d'un vert buisson. Lors la fillette a dit en baisant son mignon: "Regarde près de nous le beau lit de saison. Je n'en puis durer Marquet, allons y donc".

English translation I can't hold out Marquet; so let's go. Marquet and Marquette with him, whilst tending their flock Sat on the sward right by a green bush.
