Latin and English text
I. Dies est laetitiae
Dies est laetitiae
In ortu regali,
Nam processit hodie
Ventre virginali
Puer admirabilis,
Totus delectabilis
In humannitate,
Qui inaestimabilis
Est et ineffabilis
In divinitate.
Ortes Dei filio
Virgine de pura,
Ut rosa delilio,
Stupescit natura,
Quem parit juvencula
Natum ante saecula
Creatorem rerum,
Quod uber muniditiae
Lac dat puer ritiae
Antique de erum.
II. Conditor alme siderum
1. Conditor alme siderum,
aeterna lux credentium,
Christe, redemptor omnium,
exaudi preces suplicum.
2. Qui condolens interitu
mortis perire saeculum,
salvasti mundum languidum,
donans reis remedium.
3. Vergente mundi vespere,
uti sponsus de thalamo,
egressus honestissima
Virginis matris clausula.
4. Cujus forti potentiae
genu curvantur omnia;
caelestia, terresstria
nutu fatentur subdita.
5. Te, Sancte fide quaesumusc,
venture iudex saeculi,
conserva nos in tempore
hostis a telo perfide.
6. Sit Christe, rex piissime,
tibi Patrique gloria
cum Spititu Paraclito,
in sempiterna saecula.
Amen.
III. Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence
1. Let all mortal flesh keep silence,
and with fear and trembling stand;
Ponder nothing earthly minded,
for with blessing in his hand,
Christ our God to earth descendeth,
Our full homage to demand.
2. King of Kings yet born of Mary
As of old on earth He stood,
Lord of Lords In Human Vesture,
In the Body and the Blood,
He will give to all the faithful,
His own self for Heav´nly food.
3. At his feet the six wing´d Seraph,
Cherubim with sleepless eye,
Veil their facces to His presence
as with sleepless voice they cry;
Alleluia Alleluia! Alleluia Lord Most High!
Amen.
