Life

Born: c. 25 October 1564 (date of baptism)

Died: 8 June 1612

Biography
German composer, organist, and organ designer. He studied under Andrea Gabrieli in Venice, after which he was organist in Augsburg, then kapellmeister in Nürnberg and kapellmeister and organist in Dresden. He was followed in Dresden by Michael Praetorius and Heinrich Schütz. Brother of Jakob Hassler and Caspar Hassler.
