Latin.png Latin text

Haec est dies quam fecit Dominus.
Hodie Dominus afflictionem populi sui respexit et redemptionem misit.
Hodie mortem quam foemina intulit
feminae semen fugavit.
Hodie Deus homo factus.
Id quod fuit, permansit
et quod non erat assum(p)sit.

This is the day which the Lord has made.
Today the Lord has looked upon the suffering of his people
and sent redemption.
Today death, which a woman brought [into the world],
has been overcome by one who was born of a woman.
Today God was made man.
He remained what he was
and became what he was not.
