En entrant en un Jardin
Je trouvay Guillot Martin
Avec Helene,
Qui vouloit son Picotin,
Son beau petit Picotin
Non pas d'Avoyne.
Adonc Guillot luy a dit,
Vous aurez bien ce credit,
Quand je seray en alaine:
Mais n'en prenez qu'un petit.
Car par trop grand appetit
Vient souvent la Pance pleine.

woordspel met "Picotin" dat 'portie haver' betekent, maar ook een sexuele connotatie heeft
Terwijl ik een tuin betrad
trof ik Guillot Martin aan
samen met Helene
die haar deel wilde,
haar mooie kleine deel
en niet van haver.
Waarop Guillot haar zei,
jij zult krijgen waar je recht op hebt,
als ik weer op adem ben:
Maar neem er maar klein deel van
want een te grote appetijt
leidt vaak tot een volle buik.
Deze alternatieve vertaling (graag laten staan aub) heeft de bedoeling om ook zingbaar te zijn. Je kan met andere woorden deze tekst onder de muziek zetten, zodat ook voor Nederlandstalige luisteraars de combinatie van sacrale klanken met schunnige teksten onmiddellijk duidelijk is. Jan Wyns
