Italian text Ecco fuor di stagion, l'aria si tempra, E i garruli augelletti, Mentre stà cheto il vento, Scherzan co'l volo, e fan dolce concento. Ecco trà bei fioretti, Sorge la Rosa candida,e vermiglia, Ma non è meraviglia, Poi ch'appare il mio sole, Che seco addur la primavera suole.

English translation Behold the air is becoming unseasonably warm, And the chattering birds, While the winds are still, Are playing in their flight, And making sweet harmony. Behold, midst the beautiful little flowers Arises the rose, white and red. But this is no cause for wonder, Since my sun (my love) is coming forth, Who is wont to bring with her the spring.
