Dominator Domine caelorum et terrae
Creator aquarum Rex universae creaturae:
Exaudi orationem servorum tuorum.
Spem in alium nunquam habuimus
praeterquam in te Domine.
Aperi oculos tuos et vide afflictionem nostram.
Sed tu Domine extende brachium tuum
et libera animas nostras ut cognoscant
quia non est alius qui pugnet pro nobis
nisi tu Deus noster.

English.png English translation

O Lord God of the heavens and the earth,
Creator of the waters, and King over all creatures,
hear the prayer of thy servant.
We have no other hope
save in Thee, Lord.
Open thine eyes and behold our affliction,
but thou, O Lord, stretch out thy arm
and deliver our souls that all may acknowledge
that there is no other to fight for us
besides thee, our God.

(c.f. Judith 9:17, Esther 14:19, Daniel 9:19)
