Da traten die Jünger zu Jesu
und wecketen ihn auff und sprachen:
"Herr, hilf uns wir verderben".

Da Sagt er zu ihnen: "O ihr kleingleubigen,
warumb seyd ihr so furchtsam?"
und Stund auff, und betrawete den Wind
und das Meer da ward es ganz stille.

Die Menschen aber verwunderten sich und sprachen:
"Was ist das für ein Mann,
daß ihm Wind und Meer gehorsam ist?"

"betrawete" (in 1545 Bible: "bedräuete") = 'Bedrohte'

And he saith unto them, O ye of little faith,
Why are ye fearful?
Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea;
and there was a great calm.
