Core mio, io mi sento morire,
Se non mi porg’aita,
Deh, cara e dolce vita,
Soccorrimi e non lasciarmi perire.

Bene mio, tu sei che mi da vita,
Parte nutrisco il core,
Ti prego per amore:
Rimedia la mia insanabil ferita.

German translation

Mein Herz, ich fühle, dass ich sterbe,
wenn du mir nicht Hilfe bringst,
ach, teures und süßes Leben,
unterstütze mich und lass mich nicht verderben.

Meine Liebste, du bist das, was mir Leben gibt,
teils nähre ich das Herz (?),
Ich bitte dich um der Liebe willen:
heile meine unstillbare Wunde.

English translation

My heart, I feel I am dying,
if you do not bring me help,
alas, dear and sweet life,
support me and do not let me perish.
