Come forth!
Shout all ye people put out gloom and doubt for Christ is arisen,
arisen his praises we must shout his praises we must shout:
Rise all ye people, come rise all ye people
his praises we must shout.
Alleluia.
Rejoice ye heavens glorious, alleluia,
Your sweetest notes employ to praise our Lord,
back from the dead, with songs of purest joy.
Alleluia.
For three long days all thought him lost
and many a soul in doubt was tossed.
Miserere.
Both friends and family were cowed
Thinking that all was lost in endless night.
The days of darkness now have passed, alleluia.
And death's dread sting is drawn at last Alleluia.
Stand up all ye faithful now is the day for praise.
Behold the great redeemer lives; let us glad anthems raise.
Alleluia.
