Ave Maria a 4 plus 2 (Josquin Des Prez)

From ChoralWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

The 4-part Ave Maria of Josquin Des Prez was so popular in the sixteenth century that an anonymous composer, probably working after Josquin's death, circulated a version with two new added voices. This work has been recorded by the early music group Zephyrus on their CD Angelus.
