The angel of the Lord said to the shepherds:
I bring you news of a great joy
which will be for every people,
for to you is born this day
the Savior of the world,
who is Christ the Lord,
in the city of David.

And you shall find the infant
wrapped in swaddling clothes
and placed in a manger.
He is Christ the Lord,
in the city of David.
