Altro non è'l mi'amor che'l paradiso:
che'l paradis'è un sol sommo diletto
qual prend'in veder Dio ciascun eletto,
né altro gaudi'è nell'eterno riso.
Adunqu'il paradiso è'l mi' amor vero
che con somma letizia al cor unita,
ogn' hor veggio'l mio sol vago ed altero.
Ahi possanza d'amor, tant'infinita,
che'l paradis'ancor conded'in vita.

English translation

Nothing is my love but Paradise:
'Cause the Paradise is the only one highest delight
As feels in seeing God every selected man,
Nor is other pleasure in the eternal smile.
Therefore is Paradise my real love
Where, with highest joy joined to my heart,
Every time I see my sun, distant and proud.
Ah, power of Love, so endless,
That Paradise even allows in life.

Jo paradīze ir laime visuaugstākā
