24369Edmund Gooch2011-09-052011-09-05The original order of parts is 2d. - 1st. - [Instrumental Bass] in the opening symphony and Tenor - [Alto] - Treble - [Bass] - [Instrumental Bass] thereafter. The symphony between the verses is printed in the source with the 2nd. part given on the Tenor stave: this has been given on the Alto stave in the present edition, and is given at the same octave here as in the source (it has not been transposed by an octave in transcription). The alto part is printed in the treble clef, an octave above sounding pitch, in the source. Only the first verse of the text is underlaid in the source: the other verses given here are printed after the music and have here been underlaid editorially. The alto part from beat 4 of bar 25 to the end of bar 27 in the present edition is printed as a second treble part in the source (the first treble being printed with tails up, and the second treble with tails down, both on the treble stave), and has been split out editorially.69290When, overwhelmed with grief (from A Seventh Set of Psalm Tunes) (Thomas Clark)When, overwhelmed with grief (from A Seventh Set of Psalm Tunes)Thomas Clark2023-09-16 07:51:53
