24326Edmund Gooch2011-09-012011-09-01The original order of staves is 2d. - 1st. - [Instrumental Bass] in symphonies and Tenor - [Alto] - Treble - [Bass] - [Instrumental Bass] in sung sections. The symphony between the verses is printed in the source with the 2nd. part given on the Tenor stave: this has been given on the Alto stave in the present edition, and is given at the same octave here as in the source (it has not been transposed by an octave in transcription). The instrumental bass from beat 4 of bar 24 to beat 3 of bar 26 is printed in the tenor clef in the source. The alto part is printed in the treble clef, an octave above sounding pitch, in the source. The second and third verses of the text are printed after the music in the source and have here been underlaid editorially.69187Arise and hail the happy day (Thomas Clark)Arise and hail the happy dayThomas Clark2023-09-16 07:51:18
